This website will tell you about who I am and the work that I've done. I offer a wide range of services as an educational consultant with four decades of professional experience working on behalf of children. If you are a parent sorting out your next steps for a child with learning differences, I believe you will find helpful information here. And if you are a school addressing the needs of these children, you will find help with that as well.

We all have social, emotional, and academic strengths as well as areas of weakness, and I consider all of that. A thorough educational evaluation involves seeing a person as a whole rather than as just parts. Moreover, each person also has the right to self-esteem and self-acceptance and the opportunity to reach his or her intellectual potential.

Achieving potential may require direct teacher instruction of skills, using compensatory strategies or aids or accommodations or modifications. Because these are important, decisions are best made as a collaborative team whenever possible--with parents, other professionals, educators, and older students.
